Although your rant gave me a chuckle - I completely agree with you. This country is being flushed down the toilet. I wouldn't blame the immigrants, but the root of the cause - the Government.

If the Government would stick its finger out of its arse and actually care fully about the British people, then we wouldn't have so much problems.

Where I live some local councillors decided that they will allow one of the big supermarket chains to build right smack in our little village. There was great outrage and opposition to the project from local residents. The positioning of the new supermarket would prevent the market from coming here every friday. The councillors said that the market would move. Now there is no where nearby that would accomodate the market, so it would have to be placed beyound walking distance to the village - how many elderly people will then not be able to get the supplies they need?
Also we have a few traditions in the village, one of them a fair that would normally come a few times a year to the proposed site. The supermarket would crush these traditions.

Those councillors - like most politicians seem to think only of the money they make and not the lives they affect.

Ok - that was a bit of a rant on my part - sorry! :-/ But I'm so annoyed at all the crap that goes on at the moment every where in the Country. In the (very) olden days the People would be able to throw out the current government and re-instate a new one. Although for even hinting at the thought of over-throwing the government (even without really meaning it) will probably get me snipered under terrorist laws. The government has too much power.

-:)) -:)) sorry for laughing but I have several broken phones in the cupboard after speaking to them and Scottish Power.

I think the staff are specially trained to be annoying and obnoxious, so people like us do not ring to complain. Which allows them to rip us off.

House thing is a piss off for sure but I don't like the alternatives offered. Would I trust the report offered by the wallie who are trying to off load their house on me, would I buggery.

As for imigration well it's like food. there are lots of diches I like but I would not like the same thing every day. too much of anything in one go is bad news.

God i thught I ranted, your are star, perhaps you could get a lottery grant and make it an olympic sport, perhaps we would get more medals then, at least those Aussie so and so would not be able to beat us at it, unlike every other bloody sport we invent!

My parents have moved from Walthamstow to here in Cumbria. They feel the same as you regarding the eastend is no longer the eastend, but East, West and Indian End. We are not the slightest bit prejediced, but in their road there were 190 houses, and my parents were the only white people living there.

I do agree about the houses, if someone has arranged a mortgage and had the survey done, it should go through. Perhaps it will be better when the houseseller has to have the survey done, and can give a copy to any respected buyers.
